My car is a 1998 V40 1.8XS. Tried the search, I have just fitted a new central locking module with 2 fobs as the original had been disconnected.

Central locking and interior lights work fine now, no immobiliser problems. Now I have received new batteries for fob as they came without. The car unlocks fine with fobs, however, when locking, the central locking works but the indicators continue to flash as if in alarm, the horn has been disconnected from previously.

What can cause an alarm immediately on locking, any sensors to check, boot or bonnet switched etc?
