I would like to correct my previous statement. The sound system in my 2007 V50 is the Premium sound system, not the Dynaudio, which was not available in MY 2007. My statement about the ineffectual subwoofer still stands, however.

I do have the Dynaudio sound system in my 2008 S40 and, as stated previously, that sound system is actually disappointing in comparison to the older Premium Sound. At this date, a year after delivery, my dealer tells me that Volvo has still not provided a firmware upgrade to the Dynaudio to improve the bass response.
