My new Volvo! - '05 Volvo V50 T5
Just picked this up on Thursday, pretty stoked! Uploaded a picture of it in my profile.
2005 Volvo V50 T5
124,000 miles
FWD
6 speed
Totally loaded, leather, power everything, IPD 18" Pegasus R replica wheels, rear spoiler, roof racks w/ crossbars, 6 disc changer w/ premium sound.
The previous owner had also upgraded a lot of things, a lot of aftermarket parts under the hood to beef up the turbo.
I'm in love with this car. Always been a fan of the V50s, but this is easily the best one I've ever seen (looks wise), so sporty and hip while still being a badass station wagon.
I think my only question would be..... Are you able to have an auxiliary port installed on these to play your MP3 player? I'd like to have one hardwired to the system rather then doing the FM transmitter deal, but I don't know if that gets complicated on these systems or not? Thanks!

The answer is no.
My plan is to hard-wire an FM transmitter and bluetooth dongle beside the antenna amplifier. These cars have a "diversity antenna" with an amplifier that compares the signal from the two antennas and switches in the best signal. I'm hoping that if I tap into ONE antenna lead, the amp will take care of switching off the conflicting signal.
It's not as good as finding an audio analog point to tap into, but considering that the music will be playing over road noise, I have hopes.
