V50 2.0D 2006 suddenly stops
Hey, i have a problem with my Volvo V50.
I really hope some of you know what the problem is because its driving me mad. If the car has stand still for more than 1 hour this problem occurs. When i start driving, first all the electricity in the car goes haywire, screen on radio starts flickering, popping sounds from speakers, warning lights in the dashboard and no respons on the engine. If i stop the car, take the key out and try to start it again, it works fine. Checked the voltage on the battery, charging 14.6v with engine on idle, so i guess the alternator works fine. Is this a known problem on this cars? And have anyone experienced the same problem or similiar problems? Any answers is appreciated with big thanks! |
I don't know much on diesel cars since we dont get them in america much, but it could possibly be a CEM issue. Should be able to tell from VIDA if you have a TON of CEM codes. CEM is the central electronic module located in the foot well on the driver side. I had to get my refurbed when i got my 06 s60.
