V50 T5 over heating and cylinder misfire 3
Hey guys, I've been browsing this forum for a few days and it seems like a great community. Lots of problems solved, I'm hoping you might be able to help with mine.
2005 V50 T5, bought a couple weeks back and it ran flawless. Then as of last week the CEL came on with a cylinder 3 ignition coil error. Ever since the car has been doing the standard bogging, studdering and trouble starting. I replaced the coil but still running poorly with CEL. What is worrying me is that it is also over heating with slight coolant loss. I have no idea which direction to go from here I don't have the budget for a mechanic right now so hoping to trouble shoot with the help from you great folk. Thank you for your time and knowledge |
Update; my steering wheel column locked itself on top of it all. Caught a ride home, picked up the tools and after releasing the steering lock mechanism, the car fired right up with the CEL and over heating problem completely gone it would seem.
A little worried still, anything I should check? I can't figure out how to delete this post so if a mod could that would be great. Thanks for the support guys I know you were rootin for me. |
check for absolutely tiny crack in reservoir bottle - cheap easy fix ... if that is it.
