Default Volvo V50 Want to go with 195/65 R15

I helped a eldery friend buy a 2007 V50 of course
it has 205/55 R16 and she does not like the rims look so
we want to go with 195/65 R15 for a better ride, etc.
I looked could only find 6 x 15 Adaro, Acrux, Isis and no
online sellers for any of them including tirerack and other
aftermarket sellers don't seem to have a 15" that will fit
a V50 this seems strange to me that the 15" option is so limited.
Any help would be appreciated.

Wheel-size.com will give you OEM specs for rims. The thing about the Gen2 S40/V50s is they use Volvo' standard 5x108 bolt pattern but have the 63.4mm center bore (older Volvos have 65.1 center bores, newer models have the 63.4). For a 195/65-15, you'd want a 6x 15 with a ET46 offset. you can probably also go up to a 6.5" rim with no concerns.

A few ideas:

1) Try searching for S40 wheels since not all stores may list the V50. A few other sites to look at include hubcaphaven.com and wheelcollision.com
2) see if you can similar year Euro Ford models as they may share the same rim specs
3) Since your car has smaller hubs another option is to find hub centric rings to adapt from a 65.1 inch rim to you 63.4 hubs. Then you could use Volvo OEM rims from an older S70 or 850.

She has a 98 Turbo wagon a mechanics loaner car and a non running 98 wagon
(not sure what model, non turbo, would either of those work with the the needed mods?

since you have the part number on those pages, just google to see if there's other aftermarket suppliers or go used and search via Car-part.com

If the 98s are a V70 (ie FWD or AWD) then the rims will bolt up and fit but you will need hub-centric rings (they are likely to be an ET43 which is just fine)

Searching on ebay I saw Circuit Performance 65.1 / 63.4 Aluminum Hub Centric Rings (Set of 4) for $15...

It has 205/50 17 and I measured the diamerter is 25" including the tread.
Ok so the 205/60 16 is 2.4% larger diameter than the stock 205/50 17 and that is within
the 3 percent of the original combination’s height for the car to perform optimally.
Interestingly the 215/45 18 that was part of one of the option packages is + 2.2%.

I want to thank everyone for the help and usefull advise.
The Borbet Type Y 16x7 look great and match the color.
No rubbing and she is super happy with the looks and improved ride.
We did not bother with new TPMS just plain valve stems/cores.
Mount-balance and new valve stems/cores was $119.
That's a 1990 Volvo 760 Turbo in the background, a mechanics loaner car
she was driving for over 5 years, a real beater car for sure.

excellent choice. Curious if factory center caps with the Volvo logo will fill those wheels.
