'01 V70 Stalls and won't start
The wife went to work today and just called a little while ago. She said the car('01 V70 2.4T) started acting like it was running out of gas(I suppose this means it was running rough) and then stalled. Radio was making 'funny' noises, all lights were dim and a turn of the key only produces the dreaded 'clicking'.
My first guess was the battery, but it seemed fine last night? Don't know if its related but the other day I was leaving a parking lot just after starting the car and noticed the car wouldn't go above idle. Pressed the pedal halfway down, no change in engine speed. I released the pedal completely and then tried again and the engine revved normally. At the time I wondered if this could be the Mas air meter. Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary till today's incident.
Only electrical change has been to replace the headlight bulbs 2 weeks ago. They're Sylvania high output bulbs(almost as bright as my hi-beams).
Can't imagine that they would cause an issue like this though - unless the battery was shot already.
You guys have any other ideas?
