2000 V70 T5 cold start issue
Hi there,
new to this forum but not to Volvo's.I have a V70 T5 se 2000 model year classis shape.Fantastic car in all ways apart from a cold start issue.First start when cold is almost like it is overfueling.Hunting and smell of petrol from exhaust. After 15-20 seconds,it calms down and behaves fine.I can only describe it better as when you used to pull out the choke on a carburettered car when the engine was warm.Make sense? No management light on dash and no fault codes stored.Has been more noticeable with this cold weather.I am thinking temperature sensor possibly.Any ideas?:D |
Hi,
I own a 99 t5. I think the gas smell is normal on first start up especially if it is cold. What do you mean by hunting? My car sometimes has jumpy idle for a bit on severe cold starts but the idle normalizes after a minute or so. |
Hi, i have excactly the same problem with my 2001 T5, you described it perfectly. Have you had any luck finding the problem and or a solution. Thanks
