Hi guys, i'm posting this for my brother...he recently bought a 1998 v70 awd R....he was driving it yesterday and it was okay. He parked the car and left for a few hours. When he went back, the doors didn't open, and nothing on the car worked..it was dead! event he dash display.
Then this morning, he went back and it started..the trip odo. was reset and now the lambda light is on....any ideas? it seems to idling fine...
is there a way to retrieve the codes on a 98 model v70? if so, how?
any info would be great.thanks

Check the battery connections.
You need a scanner to read the codes.

 

Hey Tech..ya i looked at the battery terminal but the wires are on tight...there seems to be a little acid flakes at the bottom of the + terminal but that's about it....i will follow the wires from the battery and see if the ends are on okay..thanks

Check in the fuse/relay panel under the hood. There is known issues there.
