Access to blower motor/ventilation system
Here's a novel problem - I stored our 1999 V70 over the winter and just started it up for the summer with no problem. As part of usual maintenance, I changed the engine air cleaner which was contaminated with mouse droppings, and I assume mice had built a nest in the car over the winter. When I turned on the ventilation blower, it sounded like a washing machine badly off balance, and it stopped due to a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse, and the motor still works but is still off balance. I assume that something (a mouse nest?) got pulled into into the fan.
So, I want to change the blower motor and clean out the ventilation duct work. Anyone know how I can find directions to access the blower motor? This requires removing the glove compartment. Also, how to to access the intake ducts between the wipers in the engine compartment?
Many thanks.
