Default Brake Booster replacement problems

I just had someone come in and replace the brake booster on my 2001 Volvo V70 T5 tonight. Now the brake pedal is stuck, tried bleeding the brakes but the master cylinder was not getting any pressure. I bought the brake booster from Erie Volvo, I've had great luck with their parts.

Could this be due to a defective brake booster? The mechanic that worked on my car is coming back tomorrow to make sure that the rod in the brake booster is properly aligned with the master cylinder.

Is there anything else that we should be looking at? What else could cause this?

Any help would be beneficial. Thank you!

I would re look at the rod like you have already said. If it is stuck then it might be an issue there.
