Roof rack leading and trailing ends

Roof rack leading and trailing ends
I just purchased a sweet 98 V70. Came with a set of V70 roof racks off e-bay but never mounted.....no instructions....The ends of the racks which run the length of vehicle have a squared off end and a rounded end on the other..... The question is which end is suppose to the the leading edge/nearest front windshield????
