Climate Control panel complete failure
Hi, I have a 2000 T5. The climate control panel (push button to select vent model, not the rotary dial model) has died on me. It is completely dead - no lights, no blower etc. I have been advised that I can't buy a used panel to replace it as they have an on-board ECU which needs to be programmed. Is this the case or are the dealers trying to have me over? Thanks.

RE: Climate Control panel complete failure
I think you can replace the ones on the 2000 model year.
But the 2001 model is different. Have you checked all the fuses first. Sometimes the blower motor will go bad and blow the fuse for the system. |
RE: Climate Control panel complete failure
The car was mfd in 2000 which I believe makes it a 2001 model. Unfortunately all the fuses are in order!

RE: Climate Control panel complete failure
That is a 2001 model year and needs to be programmed to the car.
Im not sure if a used one can be programmed or not. They say it can't but im not sure. |
RE: Climate Control panel complete failure
Just to update you ...
I took it to the maindealers who simply reprogrammed the original unit. I now have heat! |
RE: Climate Control panel complete failure
Good atleast it was easy to get fixed.
