GHOST REVING WHILE IDLEING!!!
 

I will soon own a 2002 Volvo V70, there is a problem though. While Idleing the car will rev up to 1500 rpms by itself with no one touching the gas pedal. It'll rev up to 1500 then go back down to zero then it'll do it again, and again, and again. I am quite perplexed on what is happening, if you have any ideas let me know PLEASE

Do u have check engine light?? Check for vacuum leak and broken vacuum hose.. pull your oildip stick out and see if smoke puffing out from dipstick.
