Thumbs up Improved performance after battery change.

My recently acquired 2005 XC70, with only 28k miles, still had the original battery. I found NAPA had the best deal at $124.00 with the AAA card discount. Anyway, I had no problems changing out the old one and the only thing that needed resetting was the clock. I had read many stories about problems following a battery change.

Since installing the new battery I am convinced that the gear changes are smoother and the car has better acceleration. Is this my imagination or could a new battery have this effect on the car?

This is my second Volvo having had a 760 GLE from new when I lived in the UK back in 1988. That one stayed in the extended family for 15 years.
