Leather cover emergency brake

Hello, I have no experience with the emergency/parking brake handle as you describe. Before you buy a part at the dealer; why don't you try to fix it yourself? I say this because you can always cut a hunk of leather from a discarded piece of furniture. Trying your hand at cutting, gluing and using an awl (the kind with the little spool of thread in the handle) could be very satisfying. Carefully cut the old leather off the handle to help make a template. Cut along the seams. How badly could you do it? You can always buy a new part if you have to. I wouldn't think a used part from a breaker would be good since you'd be buying another old, perishable handle. It could be fun. Kira

Junkyard. AVOID DEALER AT ALL COSTS. By the time you leave, you will have been talked scared into buying a new car.
Some junkyard parts cars have pristine interior. Check e-bay and craigslist.
Again, you can save about 1000% on buying SLIGHTLY used parts from a parts yard. Something like this would be a win/ win situation if you could find one. Good luck.

Avoiding dealer
I absolutely agree. In the 8 years I owned this V70 2002 I've fallen into the dealer paws only once: my wife hit the left side mirror. That was in 2003 and the charge for replacing it came to 550 USD. Never again.
Now they want 80 USD plus tax for little piece of leather and I have no idea how much for installing it. I'm afraid I will have to let them rip me off again as the wife is complaining..
