Default Looking at buying a V70 R

Hello folks,
I am somewhat familiar with Volvo's, have owned 2 in the past(940 and 850 Turbo) and also my dad owns a S70 T5 and a V70 Basic.

Anyway, the g/f wants a car and I started looking and came across a decent deal on a 99 V70 R, looks to be in good shape, that I want to go take a look at.

Deatails are 230Km's, with a recently rebuilt motor due to a burnt valve. Apparently runs well and needs very little TLC(brakes/tires/polish).
Is there anything in particular I need to be extra careful with when looking?
Obviously look for smoke due to burnt rings on the turbo ir in the motor, but anything specifically partaining to R's?
How are the tranny's in these cars?
Are they different from my dads T5?
Anything else I should know? I am hoping to go look at it tomorrow.

Thanks
Terry
