need help po107
 

getting error code po107 on my 98 v70 xc awd. can i get some help trouble shooting this? maybe vacuum leak or MAS? thanks

I would check for leaks first.
Or the map sensor might be bad.

where is the map sensor located?

Check and see if it is mounted just infront of the washer fluid fill tube.

i understand the sensor that is near the windshield washer fill to be the altitude sensor. and i believe that it is the sensor that is somewhat prone to failure atleast moreso than the sensor that is in the airbox.

the error code that i'm fighting is the po107 and when i disconnect the altitude sensor it goes away and is replaced by po108. so i feel i'm close to diagnosing the problem with that sensor by the windsheild washer fill. it is the only thing that i have unplugged or messed with that has made the po107 go away. does that make any sense? i have checked for leaks and have replaced some old vacuum line connectors as well.

That might be the one. If unplugged it might just throw a different code.
P.S. half of volvo's sensors are also called map sensors LOL

well i bought the altitude sensor so we'll see if that clears the po107 code. i'll keep you posted. thanks

altitude sensor has been on national backorder so i found an alternative solution. used the altitude sensor from an 86 audi and it works great. cleared code and runs great.
