NO HEAT!! FREEZING!! Please help??
1998 Volvo V-70
I feel heat in the vents but it wont blow out.. Checked fuse #31 and it's good. Coolant is full and everything is in check as far as I can tell. Has the blower motor gone bad? Is that a common problem in this model year? There was a penny down in the cigarette lighter hole, I removed it but I don't think that was the problem. I have seen some pennies do some strange things to cars over the years but I don't think it's the culprit here.. Please help me, it 27 degrees when I wake up for work and no heat.. |
It is very possible the blower moter has given in.
If u do not hear it turning it is either that or the switch for the blower motoer usually it is the motor Pull the plug at the moter end hook u meter and chck for current in the wires. If yes then swap out the motor. Usually it is the resstor in the motor that goes bad. Anyone with a minimum of knowledge can resolder in a new one and u should be good U can purchase a remaned OEM motor from the usual Volvo sellers IPD , FCPGroton, BBA REman, Sweedspeed, etc...
