"NO MESSAGE" in the message box.
 

This one hasn't been addressed here that I could find. And its not addressed in the owner's manual, either. 06 V70 2.5t read "NO MESSAGE". As they say on the internet, WTF?

This happens only intermittently, and I don't recall what happened before I noticed this cryptic message. It may have happened when I was trying to spin the dial to blank out the screen, having lost interest in average or instantaneous fuel economy or miles to empty.

Any reason for concern? Or is it just reassuring me all is well?

Thanks. And thanks to those here who posted about resetting Service Required Soon as I was able to do it (after a few minutes of trial and error) without a trip to my dealer.

There is nothing wrong here, usually your door is open and you scroll, it will say "1 message", depending on whether how many messages you have.

Have you a phone in the car? or at some time there as been one . I have the same message. It is for the phone to tell you of messages you have missed. In information window.

My guess is you bumped the "Read" Button on the blinker when there was no message to read. So the car told you so.

Thanks to all who responded. I was getting paranoid, I guess. I kept waiting for the word "YET" to appear after the "no message" message.
