performance reduced V70 01'

Got this message under the message board "performance reduced". Almost simultaneously my car hesitated, the message evidently went away. I have not drove it since I got to work. I did make an appointment to the dealer. Is this particular message going to cost me? What should I watch out for? Has anyone experience this? thanks to your reply.

RE: performance reduced V70 01'

The bad thing is that this happens quite a bit with the 99 and up models. It is usually the throttle body that goes bad.Could also be an o2 sensor or something in the emissions system. Most likely the throttle body though.

I had the same problem and it was a defective throttle body, common on this model. Luckily Volvo extended the warranty on this. Check with your dealer about the warranty.
