Default problem with blinkers/high beams

I've have my 2003 Volvo XC70 for almost a year now, and for several months I've had problems with using my blinkers and high beams. My left blinker works fine, but when I use my right blinker my high beams turn on (unless I hold it forward the whole time I use it) Also, my high beams will turn on over some bumps, and sometimes turn on randomly when I'm not even in the car. When I put my high beams on, I only have to push it forward to turn them off. Kinda hard to explain but if anyone has ANY idea what the issue could be I would really appreciate any leads, it's a rather annoying problem! Also if it would be an expensive fix.

Thanks everyone!

Hi there. I hope you had your problem resolved by now. I unfortunately am having a similar problem with my high beams. They randomly turn on at odd times of day and night. Obviously it drains the battery. Frustration at its highest. I own a 2005 Volvo XC90. It so bad that I moved into the bedroom at the back of my house. That way I can see them shine through my windows and alerts me. Can you say lack of sleep? I hope I can get some help here.
