Refurbing Transfer case

HI, new member here but I just bought a 2000 V70 XC with just about 127K on it and well to my painful discovery I found that the transfer case output shaft to the rear driveshaft had about 1/2 inch play in every direction.

Me being disappointed but not completely heartbroken put a afternoon of labor under the lift and did a awd to fwd conversion pulled the driveshaft and transfer case out. Thinking the case was shot to hell i just set it off to the side of the shop thinking it was worth about the metal it was made of. To my amazement there was still juice in the case which leads me to believe it is saveable. My thought is the output bearings are just shot and need replaced can I order parts for refurb or is the case a one piece unit?
HELP!!.........new ones $1500$ ahhh

I Haven't tried the dealer yet but im not a big fan of them either, try to avoid them as much as possible. Though I was able to pick up from the dealer taht the car was sold was its record of repairs. And the previous owner took it in for every noise he heard except for the last two things, The transfer case and the car still has its original Timing belt and thats my next project.

Is there any tags on the transfer case that you could use to find out the manf. to contact them?

:)Pulled the outputshaft out of it and im sure that it is fixable im going to a local bearings manu. shop here to match the bearings everything inside is a-ok. I was so worried when I opened the case I would see bits of gears everywhere but everything still ok.
