I need to reset the SRS light on my 2004 V70 SW.
I read somewhere that the SRS unit on 2000 and above models can be reset without a tool but can't find those instructions..
Anyone knows about such instructions..
would appreciate the help..
pls don't tell me to go to the dealer since thats the last place i want to go :-)

This works on my 2001 V70, from the alt.autos.volvo forum that I got from groups.google.com.
Here's the truth about service light reset. This works with all Volvos 1999
and onward. 850s and 1998 S/C/V70 require a Volvo garage reset.
1. key in I position
2. hold trip meter button in
3. turn ignition to II position
4. wait until service icon flashes twice
5. release trip meter button

Which he can't get reset unless he goes to a Dealer or Indy that has a proper scanner.
