but when the car stalls it shows the battery oil and the overdrive light anyone know whats wrong? |
RE: stalling/loosing power
Check your codes. See what they read.

RE: stalling/loosing power
I agree with S70driver first thing you need to do is pull codes.
Also what year is the car? |
RE: stalling/loosing power
Also have the dealer check for an open recall. The 155 campaign relates to your issue.

RE: stalling/loosing power
wouldve helped if i posted the year lol its a 99
and what are the codes? |
RE: stalling/loosing power
You will need to have someone pull the codes out of the engine control module.

RE: stalling/loosing power
i recently heard from a friend who had this same problem he told me that the idle air control valve is the part that needs to be replaced in my car anyone know of this? and also he said he had the egr valve replaced also?
thanks |
RE: stalling/loosing power
Your car doesn't have one you have a electroninc throttle body.
Thats why we keep saying have the codes pulled. Those throttle body's have a 10 Year 200,000 mile warranty on them. |
RE: stalling/loosing power
Specter,
I was having issues with the engine revving up and down a lot and sometimes almost stalling (although mine didn't actually stall - but went down to about 200 rpm before surging back up). Anyway, I had a mechanic read the codes and the throttle body codes came up so they fixed it under the warranty that tech mentioned and now it's running totally smooth (in that respect). |
RE: stalling/loosing power
ok i finaly got to go to a mech and i got the codes pulled it was my MAF and my gas cap sensor now i think the MAF is the major issue anyone know where i can snag a decent priced MAF sensor?
