T5 fuel injector job
Hello, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to working on Volvos. I have gleaned some great info from this forum and just completed a PCV system job and radiator replacement.
While I had the fuel rail out I decided to do the 0-rings and seals on my fuel injectors. However, there is a "seal" at the end of the injector that mates with the intake manifold and I haven't come up with a way to get this off to replace the o-ring. I tried to carefully pry it off on one but ended up putting a crack in it. i haven't seen this part on any of the volvo parts websites that sell the o-rings and seals.
Also, does anyone have a advice on whether I should send out the injectors to be cleaned or just go with some fuel additive to clean them - I have all the maintenance records from previous owner and I maintain the vehicle regularly.
Here is a pic of my injector:

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you have found some useful information.
If your injector seals are that hard and do not come off, either leave them or find some replacements. I think mine did come off last week and all I did was clean them with some carb cleaner and oiled them with WD-40, then put them back on.
As for the injectors, if they are not missing or giving you poor fuel milage, I would leave them and use injector cleaner like Lucas.

Thanks rspi for your response and the welcome.
I did finally talk to a local Volvo dealer and they have a guy with decades of experience who said that those are simply retainers on the end and technically aren't even needed. I did finally pry them off and put them back on after replacing the O-rings. Car is back on the road and running great except the steam venting out of the thermostat housing port that goes to the expansion tank - and I tested the thermostat bfore installing!! Oh well, just another problem to troubleshoot!
