Timing Belt change – 04 V70R: Cam lock tool or not?
I have been searching on various boards without finding any conclusive answers, so I thought I would try with the experts here.
The plan is to just change the timing belt, idler and tensioner. Since I will not need to get the camshaft pullies off is there a need to use the cam lock tool?
I understand that this engine has the VVT on both intake and exhaust cams and it may therefore be different from the instruction linked to here:
