Default V70 IDLE PROBLEM-BATTERY CABLE

Now having idle problem without ETS light not on. Originally had a ETS light two weeks ago. Have had the software download twice as light came back on after first download and dealer cleaned the throttle module. The module is not failing on any test so dealer will not install new one as we all know the rules. Now they state it is not the module but the battery cable going to the fuse box is very hot causing resistance creating the rough idle problem. They want to patch new cable to harness. The dealer states the circuits inside fuse box has not been harmed by the heat. We usually turn off the car when the rough idle occurs and have it towed to reduce any further damage to car. Anyone heard of this or experienced this problem and if so, did it work or is this just another alert for another real problem that needs addressed. The dealer orignally wanted to install new harness. Car is turbo with 179,000 miles. I am not original owner but have had usual service since owned it. No fluid leaks to car. No other problems and everything works on the car. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Default RE: V70 IDLE PROBLEM-BATTERY CABLE

I know the fuse boxes have probelms.
I believe if you buy one your self it is like $80.00 for the part.
