Why is the XC40 on such delay?
So, I've heard different stories about the delays...High Demand and such. I obviously don't know for sure, but, I feel like this is BS - it seems more like a production problem, perhaps issues getting components. Here is why I think this: In the Seattle area, there are 4 dealerships - each of which is only getting 1-2 XC40 per week, if any at all - yes, I'm stalking their inventories based on their website. More importantly, you never see them on the road. I see more exotics like Lamborghini than I do XC40s. That doesn't seem like many are coming in and fulfilling orders...it seems more like, they have a hard time filling orders. We've got an 4-design white w/ black roof on order since July and best Volvo can tell us is maybe March.
Does anyone know what the real issue is? Should we pass on this car? Thanks - Jeff |
A 9 month, (maybe) wait? For a car already in production? Wow! This may be why we are reading about so many problems with the car. I am not sure if I remember correctly, but aren't there two factories supposedly building it?
