V60 oil capacity on changes at shop
I have a 2016 v60 T5 AWD. The oil in this vehicle has always been changed at the dealer ever since the car was new. I now live in a rural area and there is no dealer anywhere nearby. The local shop has changed my oil the last two times and I have provided the Oil.
My car is the five cylinder that takes 5.8 quarts of oil. I always provide 6 quarts of oil and they use it all. My question is will the additional .2 tenths of oil create too much pressure in the engine or damage the engine?

I doubt if .2 guarts would make a different. Even on cars with dipsticks I found that the book amount vs what the dipstick showed never seemed to match (usually doing the book amount for oil+filter quantity would show above the full line). You could always give them the exact amount next time or do the change on your own. PS - you can also buy oem filters (Mann) in bulk from sources like IPD or FCP Euro. I also usually get my oil at Walmart (I tend to use Castrol full synthetic but any top shelf brand that meets the specs listed in the owners manual will do. Just make sure you buy the recommended weight per the manual;s guidance)
