My 2015.5 WIFI service should be running out in a month or 2. The service from Volvo is AT&T. I have Verizon. I was told by the salesman that the service could be switched to Verizon by swapping out the SIM card in the glovebox with a Verizon SIM card. Verizon is gave me a cryptic answer to getting the SIM which I interpreted as they have no idea what I am talking about. I went back to the dealer service people who said that switching to Verizon was not an option. I know AT&T and Verizon use different SIM technologies, but surely Volvo was not so STUPID to make a mistake like that and not support multiple options. Do any of you techie types know if the service can be switched? I do not want to buy a MIFI and install it as a separate device nor do I want to use my cellphone as a hotspot. I know both options are available to me.

 

I am pretty sure it cannot. Not 100% certain though.

 

well, my ld states it is unlcked. So, in theory you should be able to insert a sim it should work.... have you tried? Feedback?
