2018/2019 Rear Seat Covers

Anyone know of any rear seat covers that fit well on a 2019 XC60 (ideally matching the blond interior)? Apparently, Volvo doesn't make any for this model year. Our dealer suggested trying a 2017 seat cover to see it it fits. This might be an option, but it only comes in black (not my first choice). Generic ones likely won't work since the seat backs are hinged about 3 inches above the seat. Normally you just stuff something into this crevice between seat and back to keep the cover tightly in place, but that would be tricky in this case.

Did you ever figure this out? I am wondering the same thing. I want to get some tough, dog-proof seat covers for the rear seat and hate those blanket-style pet protection covers.

I never did find anything. There are some options online (e.g., weathertech) but the product photos are generic. I've not seen an actual photo of any product that is supposedly for this year/model. I wish Volvo would offer a solution.

I was at the dealership today and told the sales rep I was looking for something. He honestly didn't even know that there was nothing for the 2019 and then directed me towards weathertech (which looks like garbage in my opinion) or the AutoArmor ECP Plus Diamond Ceramic plan... The plan is ~$1000. I just want a fitted rear seat cover for ~$200. I wonder if they aren't making OEM Volvo seat covers to try to push the care plan. It seemed weird to me that they have literally every other interior and exterior add-on but no seat covers...

I just placed my 2020 XC60 T8 on order this week, but will more than likely order a Covercraft Custom Canine Cover for my backseat. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/pro...protector.DCCP

I agree with the OP that generic rear seat covers don’t hack it — didn’t for either of my former SUV, and my present Tesla also has rear seats much like the Volvo that has it’s bend a bit higher than others. Generic covers slip and slide everywhere. I have used these covers for my golden retriever to ride in the back seat, but recommended them to several in my former Lexus SUV days who reported back being happy with them for children riding in the rear. You pay more for the custom version, but they are just that — measured and fit specifically to a particular vehicle and MY, in one of several colors you select. The seat portion is padded with a non-skid grippy material sort of like you may put under floor rugs over a wood floor so they don’t slip, and are waterproof. “My girl” has had a couple of carsick accidents over the years, but nothing went through. There are foam inserts that stick between the vehicle seat bottom and back to hold the bottom seat cover part in place, with some combination of tabs and/or straps that wrap around or through the seat sections to hold everything firmly in place with connecting Velcro. For multi-section’d seats, like the the 3 I have owned, each had Velcro straps so I could keep the cover in place, but drop just one section or the other of the back seat. They also have Velcro flaps over seat belt/child seat anchors, so if you need to use them, you pull that flap open and connect what you may need — while keeping everything else fairly well protected. I wash mine every now and then in the washing machine on delicate, then air dry in the dryer for an hour or so to get things started, and hang up overnight to complete the drying process before putting it back in place. I have had zero problem with wear on the visible parts of the cover and the non-slip backing will begin to age after several years with a few little bits coming off in the dryer that really don’t hurt anything. Each of my custom covers have always lasted longer than the 4-6 years I’ve owned the 3 vehicles they’ve been in.

It appears from the Covercraft site that a 2019 (and maybe even 2020) Volvo XC60 custom cover is available. If you do decide to purchase, note that the Covercraft site tends to have the most availability on the latest model vehicles, but I have always received a better financial deal purchasing the same thing via one of the generic auto accessory sites that sell the same thing (especially if you hit one of their sales and Covercraft isn’t excluded) — issue is generally their websites are not as current in what is available, but if you call and say you want to order, they can get it done. Note that even if you buy from one of the many auto accessory sites that resell Covercraft products, the actual covers come drop-shipped from Covercraft direct — or at least they have for me in the past.

Good luck, and if someone does give it a try, report back. I too will be in the market once my new XC60 gets onto a ship. If I’m the first to get one, I’ll be sure to update here.

Do you, by chance, have seat covers for your front seats? I'm on the hunt for covers for the front seats on my V90 CC Ocean Race Edition, but don't want to spend the $600 Volvo wants for a pair. It's the one Ocean Race accessory I was missing when I bought my car.
