2023 XC60 Defective
Hi, I bought a brand new 2023 XC60 Plus trim on Oct 29. As soon as I hit the road from dealer and started driving home, in middle of the driving on freeway my Instrument Panel (Instrument Cluster) suddenly powered off and I couldn't see what speed I am going / how much is the left over gas / any info, so I got panicked and pulled over and turned off the engine and after 10 min I restarted the car and I can see the Instrument Panel and started driving and after few minutes again the Instrument Panel Powered Off and I couldn't see anything. This keeps happening and the car is just one hour old and tried the same thing on Oct 30 and Oct 31 and the same issue still exists
So I got scared and went to the dealer ship today, they checked and said that "DIAGNOSED FAULTY DRIVER INFORMATION MODULE" which is the whole Control Module / Instrument Panel is failed. This is just 2 days old vehicle and the Quality Check failed and it has the defective Instrument Panel. They said they ordered this hardware piece and it will take 3 weeks to get to this dealer location (could be more because its through cargo on the water).
What should I do and how to handle this situation ? This is my first time buying car. Please advise.

Hey Dinz. We had the exact same issue when we got a new B6 for my wife. The cluster went off randomly, the Sirius radio would only show the song that was playing when the car started and wouldn’t change when the song changed and the cruise control would disengage for no apparent reason. It took us 2 months, 2 loaners and complaints all the way up to corporate to get the issue resolved. Volvo took the original car, which they said could not be fixed, and gave my wife an upgraded vehicle for her lease. We were told the cluster issue was a known issue and may be due to the new google interface.
We only got satisfaction after calling customer service several times a week and being a huge pain in the ***. I hope your process is easier, but do not settle until they either fix it or give you a new car. This is a dangerous fault.
