Default Can headrests be adjusted?

Seems crazy that Volvo only offers a "one-size-fits-all" headrest position! Really???? My head feels forward. I already suffer from bad posture. Any suggestions? I have 2012 XC60.

any available adjustments would be explained in the owners manual. I'm a bit curious about your posture concern - personally I find it awkward to have the headrest touch my head driving (its there to prevent whiplash in an accident) - sounds like you need to play with your seat adjustments to find your sweet spot (and thank Volvo for memory seats)

Yes, it is awkward to have my head hitting the headrest while driving. That is my point. I would like it out of my way. I can't hold my head regular and straight because I am tall and the headrest goes forward at the top.

I'm sure that if you call Volvo they will make a special seat just for you.

There is a button inside the transmission labeled "headrest adjustment". You have to remove and disassemble the transmission and then buy a special 5-sided socket to remove the special cover.

Then, when you push the button, music from the 1970s and 1980s plays as the headrest goes up and down.

I'd reclibe the seat a bit and raise the back of the bottom so there is less of a bucket to get a different angle. I'm over 6 ft and never had an issue.

Not sure I need the snarky comment. I thought this forum was for questions and support.

Despite the unhelpful replies so far, there is actually a relatively easy fix for your model year XC60 I believe (2012). I only wish there was a way to remove the headrest on the 2022 (early) model year XC60 without a hacksaw.

The headrests bug me too unless I adjust the seat recline back a bit which solves the issue. Volvo is all about safety, hence the non-adjustable headrest position.
