Feb 2026 Software Update - so long analog
My dealer just installed a very large software update which "redesigned the user experience." In some good ways, like improving the function of the cameras while maneuvering in tight spots or parking. But, the analog speedometer is way, way on the left practically hidden by the steering wheel ... overshadowed on the screen by large (highly readable) numerals next to icons of signs which purport to show the posted speed limit (according to readings from the sensor). I miss having the speedometer where I can easily glance and see it rise and fall as I accelerate and decelerate. Maybe I'm just old school, Sigh.

Thanks for the heads-up! I wasn't aware this was coming, but after your post I found this website explaining a lot of the changes: https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/volvo-car-ux/.
The center-panel changes look like an improvement, but I'll have to wait and see how I cope with the changes to the instrument cluster (which aren't mentioned much at the website).

There is a list of "Common Questions" at the bottom of that web page, and one of the answers indicates that these updates are already included in model year 2026 Volvo vehicles. So it looks like you're all set!
I have a '22 XC60 with software version 4.2.13, but according to the app I'll get the new interface with the 5.0.5 release, whenever they decide to push it out to me.
