MY22 XC60 - Parking Assist Audible Warning Stays ON
Update: Problem solved by resetting the infotainment screen, pressing the home button for ~40 seconds, the system reboots and issue is resolved !
Just got my MY22 XC60 delivered after returning my MY20 XC60 lease, and I can say I love the new mild hybrid and the general feel of the vehicle.
Problem: During a tight parking maneuver, the rear auto brakes went on as designed (no issues here), but after finishing the maneuver I realized the audible warning coming from the affected sensor stayed ON.
I went through the following procedure without remedy:
1- Turned the engine off and restarted.
2- Locked the car, unlocked and restarted.
3- Left the engine to cool overnight and attempted to start again (cold start), hoping ECU’s have reset.
4- Re-attempted a parking maneuver hoping I can trigger the SW routines into a fresh state.
5- Took the car for a thorough wash in case the sensors were contaminated (usually a warning is given in this state).
in step 4, all other sensors that went off during the maneuver stayed ON too, so now the vehicle runs a continuous symphony of audible parking warning whenever the car is in the ON state 🤦🏻♂️
Given the car is practically un-driveable, I am set for a dealer appointment in a couple of days. I will surely update this thread with results from the inspection. I am quite confident that worst case scenario will involve a hard reset or ECU flash without proper root-causing, although I hope this would arrive to something of more value to the Volvo community.
I wonder if anyone has encountered anything similar !
