Default PPF / XPEL On XC60?

Our '23 T8 Ultimate should be here in a couple of months, and I wondered if anyone here has done a paint protection film on the front or other parts of your vehicle. I strangely couldn't find any in the search, but that surprised me.

We had XPEL Ultimate installed on the Front Fenders, Full Hood and Forward Faces of the Side View Mirrors. 2022 XC60 B6.

So far so good! I am a believer in PPF, as I tend to keep my vehicles a long time and PPF keeps them looking nice and adds some value when finally selling.

Whether to install on your vehicle is up to you......

Nice. I think I’m going to do something similar. We’re also thinking of something on the rear load-in area. Do you have anything there or did you do any ceramic coatings?

Ceramic coatings are temporary, lasting about 2 years. So I usually do not think they are a good value and thus do not use them, except self applied to my Rims to make brake dust removal easier.

Our XC60 came with the protector plate on the back load-in area (XC60 Inscription), so we don't need anything else there.

They’ve changed up the models, and the Ultimate has a package you can get with a back plate, but I’m not sure it covers enough of the bumper. On my S6 I did ceramic coat on the rest of the car I didn’t wrap, which was just what I was considering. Hmm

Look for the DIY Ceramic Coat products. Much, much less expensive and easy to apply. Its all in the prep work to get the surface clean and grease/wax free..... Best of luck for whatever you decide!
