I hate driving this computer
My XC60 was towed second time since I leased the car 10 month ago. This, along with multiple resets of info systems which was required to address many issues with radio, frozen screen, etc.. I really feel I am driving a computer rather the car. I hate this and I would rather get a brand new car from 4-5 years ago, than any of these new computers on wheels that are being sold now by virtually every auto manufacturers. All that convinced me that I will probably hold off on buying an electric car as much as i could. When auto manufacturers finally perfected mechanical aspects of the car, now we have to deal with all these issues with their onboard computers. The tow truck guy said that aside of the accidents, his most towed cars are Volvo and Mercedes's - all because of the various computers issue. The last tow was due to fail OTA software failed update that bricked the car! I have no confidence in Volvo anymore, and whe they say ohh, this is the safest car on the row and old Volvos last for 500K + miles, it has nothing to do with pos they sell now.

My experience with this "computer" of a car
But, to the point of this post ... I was wondering if I should take a chance on 2.9 when the update occurred all on its own while the car was just sitting in the shop! So the phone app informed me. I don't know how this process works. Perhaps someone in the shop did something to approve the update. I will see how well it did when I get the car back.
