Volvo Software Updates
 
I have a 2018 XC60. Does the software the ability to be upgraded to the latest(I.e. 2022 XC60 w/google etc)? If so, is it doable over air or does it need to be brought in? Does it cost additional?

I guess my question is if Volvo has that capability/intention, similar to Tesla? To have your car from a software perspective, not depreciate.

It cannot be done OTA on non-Google cars and it is not free unless done for a warranty concern.

Thank you for the reply! I guess my question is , is it possible? Even if I paid? I am looking to essentially retrofit my 2018 to a 2022, similar to the Tesla analogy. But not sure if Volvos software allows that. Any ide?

Oh yeah, software updates are definitely available if your car hasn't been updated recently. However, they aren't going to turn it into a 2022. It doesn't really add any features, just minor adjustments to features the car already has.
