Wheel Speed Sensor - cost to replace?
My 2018 XC60 showed a fault and the dealer replaced the front left wheel speed sensor.
Cost was $567 USD ($162 Sensor, $375 Labor, $30 Shop Supplies)
Is this amount reasonable for dealer service for this item? The part MSRP is $122 (pn 32279594-9). Is it common practice for Volvo service to mark up 30%+ beyond MSRP?
This is my first Volvo and I'm wondering if I'd be better off finding an indy shop.
Thanks

Ask your dealer if you can provide the part ($91 at Tascaparts.com) - most will say "well we won't warranty the part if it fails etc. As to labor, most shops quote hours using a software system like CDK Dealer Services or Reynolds and Reynolds (I forget which one my local Volvo dealer uses...). So to your question, should you use an indy? I use both depending on the repair. If there's software programming required, the Indy may not have the right system (ie VIDA) or if there is a complex diagnostic procedure for really odd issues, I go to my dealer. If its a bolt-on fix, I either do it myself or use my local indy. This price suggests about 2 hours labor so there's probably some diagnostics/testing and possibly program resets/system training involved. So when talking to the dealer, ask if any programming (other than scanning/resetting fault codes) is involved and why there's a shop supply fee. Then I'd call a volvo-friendly indy and see if they are willing or equipped to do the same. Most will be honest and tell you when they aren't equipped to do a specific job.
