2004 XC70 - ABS and Brake Warning Light and Trip Computer fault
Hello everyone, this is my first post after reading through several threads and being unable to find any solutions so apologies first if I've done something incorrect.
I have an XC70 2004 plate. It's been absolutely reliable for the past 10 years with regular servicing, new shocks, springs and other wear and tear being replaced as required.
In the past week, without an obvious pattern... the ABS warning light comes on at the same time as the Brake Warning Light, after a few seconds the trip computer also dashes-out (------). The car still drives completely fine, other than these faults also seem to disable the cruise control.
If I stop and turn off the engine the above sometimes clears for the rest of the journey, other times they stay on. This morning I drove 40 miles with the warning lights on. All the way back they stayed-off!
About 3 months ago, only the ABS warning light came on and my garage replaced a faulty sensor when it was time for the MOT and there's been nothing up until the past week or so.
