Default 2004 XC70 HID headlight not working

I have a 2004 XC70 with HID lights. Last month the left light went out and I replaced it. IOt works fine. Two days ago the right light went out. I noticed that it flickered a couple of times after I started the car, but didn't come on. I go a new bulb and replaced it, but it doesn't work. It flickers a few times and then nothing.

Any suggestions on where to look next? Thanks.

Ballast is bad. These aren't OEM, are they?

Default Oem?

I am told that they are OEM. Where is the ballast and is there a way to test it prior to buying one? Thanks.

Plug it into the other side to see if it activates the bulb. If not, you need a new ballast. Can you take out the bulb and post a picture of it?

Default bulbs

Here are the bulbs (not actual) for the headlights. How do you access the ballast? Do you need to take out the entire headlight frame?

Okay, sweet. They're OEM D2R bulbs then. I think they're on the on the bottom of the headlight or inside of it.
