2011 XC70 dvd system issue!
 

I have a 2011 volvo xc70, tonight i was sitting in the back seat watching a movie with the car running, when the warning came on the screen that the system would shut off in one minute ( its the same warning message that shows when you shut the car off, basically a notification of switching from AC to DC) anyway, the unit shutoff and when i tried to turn it back on, the lights on the player lit up butbthe screens stayed black. After about a minute or so, the player would turn off. Im pretty sure it's not the fuses because i get power to the player. Also when the player is on for that minute or so, i cant eject the dvd. The lights work but no function! Please help!

The car does not produce AC voltage. That warning comes on when the car is on without the engine running if voltage is too low. I would have the battery tested as a first step.

But the car WAS running during the failure.

I know, I was just explaining that there is no switch from AC to DC. I would still have the battery checked. Very common and it causes all sorts of weird stuff.
