Awwww Nuts!!!! I'll not live this one down

Does anyone have the instructions (or any tips) on how to remove and replace the lower section of the right side tail light housing on an 01 XC70? I need to find out quickly as I sort of *ahem* backed into a tree with the wife's car and smashed the lower portion of the tail light to smithereeens this evening.

Thanks,

Glenn

Glenn, I would run as far away from the house as possible[8D].

I couldn't find anything but some useless pics at:
http://www.wako-car.co.jp/cars/volvo-1.htm

And the site is in Japanese and didn't have any instructions on removal either.

As a last resort: SUGGESTED SCENARIO

You: Wife, there is something important I need to tell you.
Wife: What is it, dear?
You: It's about your Volvo (make sure to act with confidence). As I wasTESTING the transmission on it for SAFETY-RELATED ISSUES, it acted on its own and backed up suddenly and backed into a tree. The transmissions on XC70s were known to act wild with a faulty reverse-safety switch (not sure if there is such a thing) and some people have had serious accidents and yours has had the very same issue. But don't worry, as I have replaced the switch with Volvo-authorised revised switch and it is now safe. I'm glad this didn't happen whileYOU were driving it (a few drops of tears may be effective at this moment[8D]). And the ONLY (make sure to emphasize this word) damage done to the car isONLY the tail lamp lens, and ONLY the lower portion of it. And I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY on this damage and fix it FOR YOU. I'm sorry about the damage, but I really wanted to make sure that the car is absolutely SAFE FOR YOU to drive (a few more drops of tears may do the trick[8D]).
Wife: Glenn, it's all right, and thank you so much for your kindness.
You: I thought you would lose control of the car and crash into a Humm... (now shift from tears to sob[8D]).
Wife: It's all right honey. BTW, why did you suddenly decide to test it, rather than before?
You: Uh, well ma'am, you know, there is a guy named JPN and this nut-head informed the XC70 drivers to try shifting the....

Now is the time to, well, RUN:(!!!

Sorry Glenn, I'm not much of help in this case.

It really isn't that bad it shold only have 4 or 6 screws per panel. I believe you have to remove the upper to get the lower out.

I'll try and dig into it today if the weather behaves. Once again it is raining/snow flurries here. I will be SO glad when we get our house finished and I have a garage again, this rental witout a decent garage is becoming a royal pain in the ***

Well, its fixed and the Mrs. is happy again. It wasn't too bad, just have to be careful with the interior panels, and the tiny nuts that hold the light assemblies in. And yes, the top has to come out before the bottom one.
