ETM Problems
 

Hello -

My check engine light recently came on at 110,000 miles. I decided to buy a computer reader at costco to read the code from the car. I came up with a P2112 code which after some research online came to learn it was an ETM issue. I also found out that there was a recall on this part as well.

I took the car to the dealership this am only to learn that they would not cover the cleaning under the recall as my VIN was not eligible. Is there anything I can do from here? It seems odd to me that Volvo has this issue with this particular part and low and behold my car has this issue and now they will not cover it?

I will continue to do my due diligance online to find a solution, however if anyone has gone though something similar it would be greatly appreciated. I have an XC-70 2002.

why, I am wondering was your Vin not accepted?

Volvo Customer Support emailed me to say, these are all correct, except the models mentioned! They gave me a new list is up to you whether you think the above which came from one of the websites or the Volvo. Here is the Volvo "Customer Services" list ... unreal is not it! "

- 1999, 2000 and 2001 model year S60, S70, V70, XC70, C70 and S80 models.

- 2002 V70 non turbo model year and C70 models.

- All S60 and V70 bi fuel models.
