Fuel Tank small evap leak
Finally gave up trying to find the small evap leak. I had the computer updated, changed the pump and purge valve and had it smoked to no avail. Broke down and took it to the dealer. Tank is leaking where the lines ,which are molded ,exit the tank. 45,000 mile 2007 model. Repair is going to be $2,650. Has anyone else had this problem. Seems to me this that this is a part that should not fail due to normal driving and vibrations . It's either a manufacturing or design defect. Do I have a case?

The lines exit from the pump, not the tank. The pump is common to leak fuel. Are they recommending a new tank?

Okay, not the fuel lines. That's the lines for the roll over shut off. Unfortunately, if that's leaking, the tank does indeed need to be replaced.

Thanks for the reply that makes sense. I could not find a picture of a tank to see for myself. But it is certainly not a wear item. Correct?

Correct.
