Loose Steering Wheel!!
Ok, I need some help. THe steering wheel on my wife's 01 XC70 has suddenly become loose. I mean that you can wiggle the wheel when the car is sitting still about 1-2 inches in any direction. Of course she will not drive it until it is fixed. I'm assuming the attachment bolt has worked loose for some reason. What I need is directions on how to remove the horn pad/airbag cover to access the nut or at least see what the heck is up. I'm a bit concerned as the steering wheel airbag is right there.
Thanks in advance. Glenn |

RE: Loose Steering Wheel!!
I fixed it! The bolt was loose. I decided to grow a pair so to speak. I disconnected the battery to safe the airbag, then took a T-30 Torx and removed the two bolts holding the horn pad/airbag on. Then a quick turn with an 18MM socket on the bolt and it was fixed.
