Volvo Forums - Volvo Enthusiasts Forum - questions about new v70 xc

To introduce myself, Ive been into mazda since i could drive (the ford escort in my signature is just a mazda chassis with an ugly body ;) ). Ive been married for about a year and a half now. We just got our own house about 4 months ago and ive been waiting to pick up another vehicle so i can rip the motor out of my awd protege and replace with a dohc mazda motor boosted to about 1 bar on my vj20 turbo until l i can budget for managment to support my turbonetics t3/t4 on the shelf in the garage.

ANYWAY this is a volvo board so ill get to the volvo meat:

I just picked it up and my comment in my signature is true this is SUCH a nice car to drive comming from a car with a motor about to die and a need for a loud stereo just to cover up the rattles and noises it makes... this car will always be my preferance now. I got the car from a family in eugene oregon (drove 5 hrs round trip to get). We paid 5200 for it (whichcorrect me if im wrong but it feels like we stole it). The car has a new transmission and bevel gears (common problems i hear) and they have maintainance records! it does have 133k on the clock but, get it with higher miles and a new tranny when they were well cared for miles or low miles and look forward to footing the bill on the tranny... plus the price was unbeatable! its two main flaws are thus, the stupid wiper are just not adjustable enough they are either going too fast making a bunch of noise or they are going too slow and i have to continusly reach up and flick the switch... and a transmission sensor is bad (range sensor)... dropping it into low will put the car in limp mode and the transmission light will flash and turn the cel on, we JUST found this issue out (we have only had the car like 3 days now) and i good friends with my old h/s auto teacher so i have a snapon scan tool at my disposal (beats 95 bucks go have the local volvo dealer hook theirs up also shuts the cel off).

NOW to my questions:

the window sticker came with the car and it said the car had homelink (for the garage door openers)... i could not locate this in the car and figure it must not have it or im overlooking it somewhere, where is this located in the v70xc's

it also said it was wired for a cd changer and it being a wagon i was wondering where the factory location for a changer is incase i were to pick one up?

sorry for the novle, im a long time forum member and im sure the length of this prevented many from even reading... i just cannot tell a partial story or thought... and this was a long thought ;)
