Default Rear shock R & R

Does anyone have (or know where I can find) a good set of instructions on removing and repalcing the rear shocks on a 2001 XC70? I have done shock removals on several cars over the years so I know the basics and expect no problems, but as I am finding out, most Volvo's have a unique process or hidden "gotcha" in just about any repair.

Many Thanks,

Glenn

I have not done a 2001 in a while. I did a 2000 yesterday. I had to remove all the floor panels on the back to gain access to the top nut to remove it. Then I lifted the car and remove the 2 lower ones and it fell out.

UPDATE: I finally got all the parts and time needed to do the rear shocks and front struts on the car. Worked the rears yesterday (right rear one was blown. Anyway, removing the panels and the shocks themselves were a piece of cake, so the job was going nicely........until I discovered the vendor sent me the wrong shocks! They shen me shocks for a regular V70, not a V70XC AWD. So...........I had to put the car back together again and contct t he vendor. *sigh* if it is not one thing, it is another. OH well, on to the suspension work on the 850 while I am waiting for the right parts

Well, I am returning the wrong parts and the new ones are on the way. In the meantime I replaced the rear shocks on the kids 850 Turbo. They were shot (so are his tires but that is another story) The 850 rears were super easy, but today I'm doing the front's. I hate messing with MacPherson struts!
