Hi Stan,
If you don't mind, I think I'll tag along! I'm replacing the rear rotors on my 2001 V70XC, but I think it will be largely the same. So far it's been pretty straightforward: jack it up securely, remove the wheels, undo two bolts on each side that hole the calipers in place, and that's about as far as I got before it got dark tonight.

Question for the rest of you: VADIS tells me to replace the rear brake caliper mounting bracket bolts (not the slide bolts, but the ones that hold the caliper bracket to the hub) with new ones. Is that really necessary? They appear to be steel bolts, I don't think they're "torque-to-yield" and they look to be in good shape. Can I just ignore this and re-use them?

Thanks everyone, and good luck Stan.

i just did mine(front and rear) along with the pads for the first time ever on ANY car, on a 2002. i was VERY easy to do. i would imagine a 2006 cant be much different. after you remove the caliper, there is only one small bolt holding the rotor on.
